ADVERTISEMENT FOR REQUEST FOR BIDS
FOR THE COURTHOUSE GRID TIED SOLAR SYSTEM PROJECT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Esmeralda County Commissioners, State of Nevada, P.O. Box 517, Goldfield, Nevada 89013, will accept sealed Requests for Bids for the COURTHOUSE GRID TIED SOLAR SYSTEM PROJECT, Goldfield, Nevada, described within the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, now on file with the Esmeralda County Clerk. More specifically the project consists of installing a grid inter-tie solar power system with an AC wattage rating of at least 10Kw connected at the Esmeralda County courthouse in Goldfield, Nevada. All Requests for bids shall include an itemized Scope of Work that includes the associated costs for each item. A bid package, hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACT DOCUMENTS", which includes all Bid documents must be submitted by all persons desiring to submit a bid on the proposed project may be obtained at the Esmeralda County Clerk's Office, Courthouse, P.O. Box 547, Goldfield, Nevada 89013, or by calling (775) 485-6309.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that all Requests for bids MUST BE SEALED, must be filed with the Clerk of Esmeralda County, P.O. Box 547, 233 Crook Street, Esmeralda County Courthouse, Goldfield, Nevada 89013, no later than 5:00 p.m. Standard Time, on the 31st day of May, 2010, and MUST BE marked "SEALED BID FOR THE COURTHOUSE GRID TIED SOLAR SYSTEM PROJECT". No facsimile transmission of any bid will be accepted. Requests for Proposals/bids must be submitted on "CONTRACT DOCUMENTS" FORMS ONLY and include five copies. Said Requests for Proposals/bids will be opened and read aloud by the Board of Esmeralda County Commissioners during the course of their regularly scheduled meeting to be held on the 1st day of June, 2010, in the Commissioners Room located in the Esmeralda County Courthouse, Goldfield, Nevada.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 13, 2010 at 1:00 p. m. and will be located in the Jury Room of the Esmeralda County Courthouse, 233 Crook St., Goldfield, Nevada. Any questions regarding the pre-bid meeting or the project need to be directed to Mike Anderson, Esmeralda County Public Works Director at telephone number 775-485-3483.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the contract will be awarded at a future date by the Board of County Commissioners after the Requests for bids have been reviewed. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all Requests for bids or accept any Requests for bids deemed best by the Board and will not be bound to accept the low Request for bids. Any Request for Bids that fail to comply with the requirements set forth in the Nevada Revised Statutes 338.1379 and the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be rejected.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the project is being funded by a grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and the successful Bidder is required to: (1). Buy American, (2) Pay State Prevailing Wage or Davis-Bacon wage whichever is the highest, (3). Report weekly wages on the U. S. Department of Labor forms.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT the owner will apply for an incentive payment through the NV Energy Solar Generations Program and the successful Bidder is required to comply with and assist Esmeralda County in complying with all program rules, applications, and required forms.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT payment and retainage will comply with Section 18 of the General Condition entitled "Payments to Contractors."

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN this project is a public works project with the PWP NO of ES -2010-237.
